About: I am a lover of the moment, I embrace the little things.

I am also a dreamer of the future,

an optimist, at least i try.

I like dancing in the summer rain,

I like the moments in between lightning and thunder,

I like warm summer nights,

and I love the two yellow lines,

which divide and bring together

highways in the states.

phoebes:

Please, seriously, take a minute to hear my mum’s sob story.

My mum was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer eight months ago now. And even when the cancer was spreading and the future looked horrible, I resisted making one of these posts because I didn’t want to ask people for their money or guilt people into giving when I all too well understand not being able to pay up for causes you want to help with because of financial reasons.

I hate to do this. But i’m asking anyway, because if everybody saw this, or everybody who was able to, gave just $1 or 2 to help, there just might be a chance she stays alive.

So here’s a little background, and i’ll try to keep it simple: Mum was in an abusive relationship. Mum got pregnant. Mum ran away from boyfriend, and started a life as a single mother from a poor foreign background, working hard as a beauty therapist and studying and trying to give me what we needed. Fast forward to eight months ago, she was diagnosed with cancer. She does what she can to beat it with hours and hours of researching how to beat this disease spreading inside her without pumping poisons into her body, because if she takes treatment, she won’t be able to work, and if she can’t work, bills aren’t paid and that isn’t a road we want to go down. So to start to raise money to pay for treatment, she picks up extra hours at work, even though the chemicals involved make her fingers crack and bleed. And as if that wasn’t enough, the back problems she has had for years, due to being a single mother carrying baby me in a pram up a ridiculous amount of stairs every day for years- has started acting up again because of the ridiculous hours she’s working, seven days a week.

So, to summarize, my mum is constantly tired because of her spreading cancer devouring her but unable to rest because she’s working hard to raise money to beat it. But soon enough she won’t be able to work because her work is making her hands crack and bleed and now touching anything hurts, and she is constantly in pain, which includes her stabbing back pain that makes her unable to move. I want to give her what she needs to survive; I want her to have enough money allowing her to take time off to have treatment and giving her hands and body time to rest and heal. She needs this, and I need her.

The harsh, disgusting, absolutely terrifying truth? Without this, a year from now, my mother could be dead.

I’ve heard tumblr can be pretty handy with fundraising, considering there are millions and millions of users here, and I figured this is probably the best way I can help her. By asking you to help, too.

Please. She is literally the only family I have. She doesn’t deserve to live in pain.

Help Amelia Stay Alive.

Donate as little as one dollar to truly give her a chance
And if you can’t give, please reblog this so those who can, see this.
